The Lodge began life when a group of Freemasons from the Lodge of Fraternity No.1418, based at Stockton Masonic Hall, decided to form a new Lodge based in Billingham. St. Albans’ Church Hall, Corfe Crescent, Billingham, was where the Lodge began life. The Lodge moved to St. Cuthbert's Hall, Church Road, Billingham in 1958 where it remained for ten years, moving to its present home at 32 Mill Lane, Billingham in 1968.

The Lodge meets on the second Monday of the month except for January and February when it is in recess. The Installation of the new Worshipful Master takes place at the May meeting.
